About the job
- A vocational college diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- A current and valid professional lifeguard certification is required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
- At least 2 years of related work experience in a lifeguard or aquatic safety role is required.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is required to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Advanced swimming ability with demonstrated water rescue and survival skills is required.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work extended shifts in outdoor and indoor environments, is required.
- Proficiency in operating basic lifeguard equipment and safety devices, and the ability to use monitoring and communication tools, is required.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, water safety protocols, and facility health and safety policies is required.
- Strong attention to detail, situational awareness, decisive decision-making, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are required.
- Interpersonal and communication abilities, a collaborative mindset, an empathetic approach to guest interactions, resilience, and reliability are required.
- Monitor pool and beach areas continuously to identify potential hazards and prevent drowning incidents.
- Maintain current knowledge of first aid, CPR, and water rescue techniques, and respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of aquatic facilities and ensure safety signage is visible, accurate, and up to date.
- Enforce facility rules and safety regulations professionally and courteously to ensure guest compliance.
- Perform water rescues and provide emergency medical assistance when necessary.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate hazardous situations to management in a timely and transparent manner.
- Collaborate with team members and management to implement and maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
- Assist guests with questions and concerns while maintaining focus on safety.
- Support operations across different areas of the facility and assist with assigned tasks as directed by management.
- Keep equipment, including rescue tools and safety devices, organized and in proper working condition.
