Getlabs provides at-home diagnostic services by sending mobile phlebotomists to patients’ homes or offices to collect lab samples, vitals, and advanced diagnostics. The service is designed to be convenient for patients who have difficulty traveling and is offered both via partnerships with healthcare organizations and direct-to-consumer scheduling. The way it works is that a mobile phlebotomy team visits the patient, collects samples, which are then sent to labs for testing, with results delivered through the provider network or consumer portal. Getlabs differentiates itself by focusing on accessibility and efficiency through home-based collection, provider partnerships, and a streamlined workflow that brings diagnostic testing directly to patients. Its goal is to improve patient outcomes by making diagnostic testing easier and more patient-centric, bridging the gap between healthcare providers and patients.

Function, an Austin-based healthcare company, has acquired Getlabs, a mobile healthcare platform that sends licensed specialists to patients' locations for blood draws and other services. The acquisition will allow Function members to choose between visiting Quest Diagnostics locations or scheduling at-home or office blood draws. Getlabs' nationwide network will continue operating with additional resources to expand reach. The platform uses AI-assisted routing to streamline scheduling and improve access to testing. Function offers membership at $365 per year, providing access to over 160 lab tests, including biannual testing. The company aims to make healthcare more accessible by removing barriers such as travel constraints, scheduling conflicts and mobility challenges that often prevent people from completing necessary health screenings.
