Requirements
  • 10+ years drafting and prosecuting patent assets, managing portfolios, developing patent strategies, conducting patent analysis, and providing support for standards, transactions, and litigation efforts.
  • Experienced in silicon and semiconductor engineering, processor and memory architectures, analog and digital circuit design, and semiconductor manufacturing and packaging.
  • USPTO Registration and BS or higher degree in EE/CS/CE, and JD.
  • Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and curating the company’s silicon engineering patent portfolio.
  • Work with the business to build and purposefully prosecute the associated worldwide patent portfolio and strategy.
  • Identify patentable inventions and secure high-quality, strategic patent assets.
  • Provide expert technical and legal analysis.
  • Handle patent challenges and provide guidance in support of patent transactions and licensing matters.
  • Assign and manage work performed by outside law firms.
  • Work with engineering and other business organizations to understand priorities and challenges to develop and inform portfolio management strategies.
  • Provide cross-functional support for acquisition due diligence, IP licensing, enforcement, standards, and litigation activities.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department.
