Requirements
  • A CPA designation is mandatory.
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting or financial control is required.
  • Solid experience with the complete accounting cycle and month-end closing is required.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or SAP is required.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly and annual financial close processes.
  • Record monthly journal entries.
  • Record payroll and associated accruals.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and balance-sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
  • Produce and analyze financial statements and performance indicators.
  • Analyze variances between the budget, forecasts, and actual results.
  • Analyze margins by project and client.
  • Collaborate with IT resources to optimize the enterprise resource planning system and financial tools.
  • Develop and optimize tools for monitoring financial and operational performance.
  • Contribute to the optimization and automation of business processes.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Make tax and estimated-tax payments.
  • Prepare documentation for external audits.
  • Respond to auditors' requests.
  • Strengthen internal controls and accounting compliance.
  • Participate in preparing the annual budget.
  • Support operational teams with financial planning.

  • Experience in a consulting firm or professional-services company is an asset.
