  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems architecture and engineering, with full lifecycle system development in aerospace or defense.
  • In-depth understanding of system safety standards such as MIL-STD-882 and development processes like ARP-4754.
  • Experience with SITL and HITL simulation environments and the execution of comprehensive testing programs.
  • Proficiency in applying architectural frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF) and utilizing open standards for system design.
  • Eligibility for U.S. security clearance is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the full lifecycle of system architecture for aerospace or defense platforms, from initial conceptual layouts to final deployment and operational support, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Implement MOSA and WOSA principles, utilizing open standards like STANAG to ensure system interoperability, scalability, and future technology insertion.
  • Integrate system safety into the architecture, conducting safety analyses, hazard identification, and risk mitigation in compliance with MIL-STD-882 and ARP-4754 guidelines for the development and safety assessment of airborne systems.
  • Develop and maintain the system architecture using established frameworks such as TOGAF and DoDAF, ensuring that system designs meet operational, safety, and technical requirements.
  • Oversee the execution of rigorous Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) testing programs for system validation and verification.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams through system design, development, integration, and testing phases, managing both in-house and external stakeholder expectations.
  • Champion the use of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital twin technologies for system development and lifecycle management.
