- Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and climb vertical access ladders and stairwells.
- Ability to wear a respirator and use other required safety equipment.
- Maintain basic operational knowledge of all plant systems and operate equipment within specifications and environmental regulations under the direction of skilled Plant Technicians.
- Continue learning the proper function of equipment and perform maintenance at a gas plant for the gas fleet.
- Promote safe, effective, and reliable operation.
- Assist with and perform troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance, daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair and replacement, and removal and installation of plant equipment and structures.
- Maintain equipment at the plant.
- Perform clearances in Lockout/Tagout Operations (LOTOV) under the direction of a senior operator or supervisor.
- Use and operate hand, power, precision, and machine tools necessary to support safe and productive work environments.
- Maintain working knowledge of electronic control systems and computers.
- Understand and follow current safety and environmental regulations for all phases of work.
- Adhere to safety, health, and environmental procedures related to plant operations and maintenance, including Lockout/Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and personal protective equipment.
- Progress in skills within the primary skill set.
- Complete Tier 2 job performance measures, primarily sign-offs demonstrating different primary and auxiliary system operations and maintenance relevant to the primary skill.
- Continually improve job skills and knowledge.
