Requirements
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following high-level programming languages: Python, Golang, Java, or Ruby, with additional proficiency in another language such as Javascript or Typescript.
  • Experience designing and implementing highly scalable architecture and reliable REST APIs.
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure) and familiarity with architectural patterns for cloud deployments.
  • Good understanding of more than one database technology, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code and to guide other engineers through code reviews.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide in-depth evaluations and analyses of complex technological issues.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating reliable and scalable backend systems as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of the company’s tech stack: Python, FastAPI, AWS, and PostgreSQL (or willingness to work with Python if not already familiar).
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to new domains.
Responsibilities
  • Design the backend services and architecture of the brokerage API platform that enables other companies to embed investing into their products.
  • Take ownership of features and services end to end in cross-functional teams and ensure they run smoothly in production.
  • Focus on areas of the Customer Lifecycle, Investing or Banking processes and ensure the Core Platform and Systems related to them are reliable and scalable.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and influence the development of the core Platform and Systems for the investment infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts and participate in building the investment infrastructure for a large user base.
