Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant academic or scientific field and at least 3 years of related research support experience, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
  • Ability to manage clinical research projects in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clinical teams, patients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with electronic data capture systems, such as EPIC, for clinical trial management.
  • Experience obtaining informed consent and managing research subject interactions and documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Compare protocols and sponsored projects to confirm consistency between funding proposals or awards and approved protocols.
  • Document established congruency between funding proposals and approved protocols.
  • Facilitate or assist with resolving inconsistencies between funding proposals and approved protocols.
  • Liaise with Grants and Contracts offices, investigators, and business managers to resolve congruency issues in a timely manner.
  • Attend meetings and present issues identified during congruency review when necessary.
  • Provide investigators and their staff with resources and technical assistance.
  • Provide analytical and technical support related to establishing and recording protocol/grant congruency as needed.
  • Monitor federal and state regulations for new guidance, updates, or policies, and maintain knowledge of these requirements to determine and follow actions needed to ensure University compliance with congruency review and reporting requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage internal practices that ensure compliance with federal requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with FDA/regulatory submissions and compliance, specifically within clinical trials.
  • Advanced data management and analysis skills, including using REDCap, Excel, and OnCore.
  • Familiarity with neurological or multi-specialty research, including hands-on patient recruitment and study management.
