About the Job

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong system-level instincts and the ability to lead highly complex programs spanning electrical, mechanical, power, thermal, manufacturing, and supply chain domains.
  • Ability to translate platform requirements and product specifications into executable hardware programs with milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional hardware execution teams through planning, development, validation, and server-platform launch.
  • Ability to define program structure, execution plans, and decision frameworks in ambiguous environments while managing technical and operational risk.
  • Ability to communicate tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues, drive resolution across organizations, and hold teams accountable without formal authority.
  • Preferred experience owning system-level hardware programs across the full development lifecycle, from architecture definition and prototyping through production ramp and sustaining.
  • Strong technical depth in hardware systems.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional execution across hardware engineering, BMC/BIOS, manufacturing, quality, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Experience driving design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability with manufacturing engineers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Hands-on experience managing Bill of Materials lifecycle, including prototype, pre-production, and production stages, with disciplined change control and configuration management.
  • Track record of driving alignment, resolving escalations, and influencing without formal authority across multiple organizations.
  • Ability to define and track hardware execution metrics, risk burndown, and program health indicators.
  • Customer-facing experience supporting launch readiness, field quality investigations, or hardware execution discussions with strategic customers or partners.
  • A Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Formal project management education, PMP, or Scrum Master.

Responsibilities

  • Own system-level technical program strategy and execution across feature delivery, product quality, and continuity of supply, balancing technical trade-offs, customer requirements, and business priorities across the full product lifecycle.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment among Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, translating platform capabilities, system constraints, and roadmap strategy into executable plans that support customer commitments and business outcomes.
  • Lead execution of complex multidisciplinary system solutions spanning Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, mechanical architecture, power and thermals, operating systems, BMC, BIOS, solution software, diagnostics, validation, and test; coordinate internal teams and external vendors to meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Integrate system-level hardware, firmware, and software architectures, manage inter-team dependencies, and surface systemic risks early.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and scalability requirements, partnering with manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to enable production readiness and lifecycle sustainability.
  • Establish and lead weekly program reviews and milestone checkpoints with global cross-functional stakeholders, driving accountability, resolving escalations, and ensuring on-time milestone delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate system-level program risks; define mitigation plans and drive cross-functional hardware and software solutions to minimize impact to schedule, cost, quality, and supply continuity.
  • Advise senior leadership by providing data-driven program status, decision trade-offs, and escalation paths for high-impact system and execution issues.
  • Own program governance, documentation, and communications throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of decisions, execution status, and deliverables to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
  • Define, track, and publish program metrics and key performance indicators using quantitative insights to support execution reviews, continuous improvement, and program health reporting.
  • Lead Bill of Materials strategy and execution from early prototype through production, facilitating reviews to ensure technical integrity, cost optimization, supplier readiness, and alignment with manufacturing and sourcing strategies.
  • Partner with engineering and configuration management teams to manage Bill of Materials lifecycle transitions, ensuring disciplined change control, traceability, and alignment from preliminary design through high-volume manufacturing.
  • Mentor and influence other Technical Program Managers and technical leads, elevating execution rigor, system-level thinking, and operational excellence across the organization.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience owning system-level hardware programs across the full development lifecycle, from architecture definition and early prototyping through production ramp and sustaining.
  • Strong technical depth in hardware systems, including experience with one or more of the listed system domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional execution across hardware engineering, BMC/BIOS, manufacturing, quality, operations, and supply chain teams.
  • Experience driving design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability, working closely with manufacturing engineers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Hands-on experience managing Bill of Materials lifecycle, including prototype, pre-production, and production stages, with disciplined change control and configuration management.
  • Strong program leadership and communication skills, with a track record of driving alignment, resolving escalations, and influencing without formal authority across multiple organizations.
  • Data-driven decision-making capability, including defining and tracking hardware execution metrics, risk burndown, and program health indicators.
  • Customer-facing experience supporting launch readiness, field quality investigations, or hardware execution discussions with strategic customers or partners.
