About the job

Requirements
  • At least 6 years of software product management experience.
  • Experience shipping cloud-native B2B software products, including familiarity with SaaS commercial models, cloud architecture trade-offs, and data platform considerations.
  • Utility domain knowledge, including familiarity with utility analytics, MDM, GIS/CIS integration, or DERMS use cases, and the ability to communicate credibly with utility analysts and operations staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to build software product roadmaps from customer research, voice of the customer, and competitive analysis rather than internal ideation.

Responsibilities
  • Define product requirements, specifications, and roadmap for applications in the Forge Utility Software portfolio, maintaining alignment with the broader Forge platform architecture.
  • Own product strategy for AI features across the portfolio, including AI for grid operations, DER management, rate design, and utility program performance, and translate AI capabilities into utility-relevant outcomes.
  • Work with Solution Architects, Sales, and customers to identify high-value use cases; conduct voice-of-the-customer and competitive analysis, especially against utility analytics and DERMS competitors.
  • Set product requirements and feed development priorities into the engineering and R&D organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with utility data integration platforms, such as head-end systems, MDMS, data lakes, or similar platforms.
  • Experience defining commercial models for AI features, such as consumption-based pricing or tiered SaaS.
  • Background working with utility regulators, EPRI, or industry consortia.

Honeywell launches Forge Plant Cognition AI with Dangote, targeting $60M yearly refinery benefit

Honeywell Technologies has launched Forge Plant Cognition, an industrial AI platform built with NVIDIA AI and Dell Technologies infrastructure. It is designed to help refining, petrochemical, and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) operators get more value from existing assets. The first deployment is at Dangote's refinery in Lekki, Nigeria, one of the world's largest single-train refineries. Based on preliminary data, Honeywell estimates the platform could add more than 29 cents a barrel, or more than $60 million a year in gross benefit at full capacity. The estimate is not guaranteed. The platform combines real-time operating data, engineering knowledge, and physics-based models to spot bottlenecks, flag equipment problems, and guide decisions. It should also help Dangote reach its goal of a workforce that is 70% Nigerian. Honeywell is also helping the refinery raise capacity from 650,000 to 1.4 million barrels per day within three years.

Honeywell raises 2026 outlook after aerospace spin-off, with nearly $19B backlog

Honeywell raised its full-year profit and sales outlook on October 22, 2026, after completing the spin-off of its aerospace business. The company is now a pure-play automation business with an order backlog of nearly $19 billion in the third quarter. Management removed stranded corporate costs six months ahead of target, lifting segment profit margins by nearly four percentage points to over 21%. It expects to clear all remaining stranded costs by the end of 2026. Data center orders more than doubled year to date, and chief executive officer Vimal Kapur expects very high growth in 2027. Process automation backlog also grew by double digits, driven by energy projects in the Middle East and Africa. Free cash flow conversion reached 95% in the third quarter, and Honeywell expects it to top 100% in the fourth. Falling debt gives it room to pursue mergers and acquisitions.

Honeywell lags Eaton and Emerson with 5% gain vs. 23% as focused automation pivot tests investors

Honeywell International (NASDAQ:HON) shares have gained 5% this year, trailing Eaton at 23.68% and Emerson Electric at 22.90%. The stock traded at $214.73 on October 21, 2026. Weakness in its Process Automation and Technology business may explain part of the gap. Lower catalyst volumes hurt sales and margins in the second quarter. After separating Solstice Advanced Materials and spinning off its Aerospace business, Honeywell aims to become a leaner industrial technology company. Investors are weighing whether it can grow faster while carrying more debt. Revenue over the past year reached $38.1 billion, up 5.0%, with an operating margin of 18.8%. The 21.6% net margin was inflated by a one-time $6.6 billion gain from deconsolidating Quantinuum.
