Requirements
  • A high school diploma and 2 to 5 years of experience as a Liquid Fuels Maintenance Technician performing basic preventive maintenance and inspections are required.
  • The candidate must understand how to maintain fuel systems for full operational capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
  • The candidate must be capable of using manual and power tools as needed.
  • The candidate must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • The candidate must be able to complete daily and weekly field reports with photographs using Microsoft Office.
  • The candidate must be able to meet time-sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • The candidate must be capable of analyzing data and resolving issues.
  • Travel is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform site management tasks related to fuel systems, including minor construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Coordinate closely with local facility points of contact, the project manager, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain health and safety requirements and quality control on the site.
  • Document project activities to keep project stakeholders informed throughout the field effort.
  • Perform project assignments safely, technically appropriately, cost-effectively, and within established schedules and budgets.
  • Manage internal teams, subcontractor crews, and schedules as required.
  • Evaluate personnel actions and shut down field activities when health, safety, or quality is compromised in accordance with approved plans.
  • Conduct or facilitate daily meetings with the field team and facilities personnel as needed.
  • Implement and control the on-site quality control program.
  • Act as liaison with the project manager, owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on technical, safety, and quality matters.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Record construction and quality-control activities in daily logbooks.
  • Provide detailed photographic documentation of work performed.
  • Draft and submit daily activity reports.
Desired Qualifications
  • Forty-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration HAZWOPER training or certification.
  • Thirty-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration Construction training or certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
