Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in an Information Technology-related concentration, or a combination of an undergraduate degree with requisite training and experience.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of equity markets, investment products, portfolio management concepts, and trade lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and investment reports.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management processes, trade support functions, and investment operations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive investment information.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Trading Desk and Portfolio Managers with trade execution, portfolio monitoring, and investment-related activities.
  • Prepare portfolio, performance, exposure, and risk reports for Portfolio Managers.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze market, economic, company, and portfolio data to support investment decision-making.
  • Maintain portfolio holdings, cash balances, and other investment records.
  • Assist with portfolio rebalancing activities and investment implementation processes.
  • Generate and distribute investment reports, performance summaries, and portfolio-related analyses.
  • Review transaction and portfolio data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor corporate actions, earnings announcements, and other market events that may impact portfolio holdings.
  • Support ad hoc projects, special analyses, and operational initiatives as requested by the Portfolio Manager.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience supporting trading, portfolio management, investment operations, or asset management activities.
  • Knowledge of Charles River, Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, or similar investment management platforms.
  • Progress toward or interest in pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
  • Excellent team-building skills to motivate, develop, and participate with others in a team environment.
