About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Fleet Lead to join our Operations team based remotely in the US. In this role, you’ll build a best-in-class fleet management operation, unlocking Wing’s operational scale for years to come. This role will require meticulous planning and strategic oversight to work with internal stakeholders to ensure the Fleet team can always supply the business operations with enough planes to scale a new operational launch while balancing the needs for existing operations’ plane availability. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Build a scalable model for our existing fleet maintenance (service) operations to ensure airplane availability is always at ideal levels for our existing business customers. 
• Innovate and collaborate with the Logistics team to reduce the time it takes to receive new planes, service existing planes, and define metrics to support each work stream. 
• Be the single threaded owner who owns fleet requirement inputs to manufacturing to ensure inflows of planes always outpace requirements for a fully stocked operation. 
• Be data driven and seek insights through analysis in order to optimize operations
• Manage and mentor a team with diverse backgrounds and experience from inside and outside of Wing, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Need: 

• 12+ years of direct fleet planning & organization experience, or in a similar field
• 5+ people management years experience
• Experience working within the aviation field in an FAA related org (experience with navigating FAA requirements) 
• Experience with hardware and software technical experience is a nice to have
• Data analyst experience in addition to making decision via data driven dashboards
