  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited program, completed within the last two years or before the fellowship starts.
  • A solid understanding of medical concepts.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to understand and analyze complex medical-scientific data from a broad range of sources.
  • The ability to interpret and present complex data to determine benefit-risk impact.
  • The ability to effectively interact with stakeholders, including business partners.
  • The ability to work in a matrix environment and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • The ability to plan work to meet deadlines and effectively balance multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A letter of intent and three letters of recommendation.
Responsibilities
  • Support safety evaluations through strategy discussions, collaboration with Therapeutic Area Safety Heads, Medical Safety Officers, and other stakeholders, data retrieval, data analysis, report writing, and report revision.
  • Ensure high-quality safety evaluations and reports with mentorship from the preceptor or Safety Analysis Scientist.
  • Support Safety Analysis Scientists on novel projects by completing task-based activities without defined processes.
  • Support Safety Management Team activities by preparing and presenting data, compiling meeting minutes, and updating signal-tracking information.
  • Provide written and verbal support for Health Authority interactions regarding safety and risk management.
  • Provide presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including guest lectures at universities and continuing education sessions.
  • Participate in rotational experiences in case processing, signal management, and other safety areas.
  • Assist in developing, promoting, and recruiting for the Global Safety Strategy & Risk Management Fellowship Program.
  • Assist in precepting advanced practice pharmacy experience pharmacy students.
