  • understanding of MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL simulation methodologies
  • willingness to learn new tools and modeling methods
  • proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
  • field(s) of study: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
  • undergrads Junior level or above pursuing Bachelor’s or master's degree
Responsibilities
  • Work with cross-function team to identify requirements for plant models for MIL/SIL/HIL testing
  • Support development of real-time Simulation Models using MATLAB/Simulink & Sim-Scape, for testing of integrated controllers using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL)
  • Work with other modeling engineers to create a closed-loop vehicle model in Matlab/Simulink
  • Create scripts to automate the integration of the closed-loop vehicle model.
  • Work with requirement owners to establish validation metrics for plant models.
  • Validate component, sub-system, or full system model against actual vehicle data from the field
  • Document and track modeling issues as appropriate and participate in triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
  • Implement Simulation Speed improvements as well as improve model fidelity/functionality
  • Help with the scalability of the model for new and upcoming applications
