Responsibilities
  • Drive an exceptional customer experience in a branch environment by executing the bank’s customer engagement model, deepening relationships, educating customers on products and services, offering financial solutions and guidance, opening accounts, performing teller transactions, and addressing emerging customer needs without transferring customers to another retail area.
  • Meet established sales and service performance goals by developing and expanding new and current customer relationships, delivering banking solutions, and improving customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with lines of business partners to create a seamless customer experience and fulfill financial needs through lending groups, wealth management, treasury solutions, and other financial services.
  • Champion digital delivery in the branch by providing digital conveniences and on-demand solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Promote a seamless transition across online, mobile, in-branch, virtual branch, and customer experience center delivery channels.
  • Respond to customer feedback by identifying root causes of concerns or complaints and recommending customer-experience improvements through process, policy, and product enhancements.
  • Ensure proper documentation is obtained and completed for all solutions to minimize documentation exceptions.
  • Maintain customer pipeline tracking by documenting calls and other customer and referral-source interactions through the customer engagement platform.
  • Perform daily teller responsibilities, including processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, official checks, loan payoffs and draws, savings-bond redemptions, currency orders, and teller-drawer audits.
  • Execute daily branch operations, including balancing the ATM and vault and performing branch-capture procedures.
  • Protect the bank from unnecessary risk by following procedures for CTR, SAR, Regulation CC holds, robbery response, and fraud mitigation.
  • Recognize and navigate fraud attempts and events involving customers and individuals attempting to defraud customers or the bank.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer information according to regulatory and company guidelines and policies.
  • Review procedures and processes routinely and complete self-audits using provided tools and resources to prevent unnecessary risk to customers and the bank.
  • Represent the bank in community organizations and activities to increase outreach and foster relationships for future business-development opportunities.
  • Work with business partners, Retail Experience Administration, and Learning and Development to maintain working knowledge of bank products, services, policies, processes, procedures, and systems and to engage customers, deliver financial solutions, and perform branch operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • College education is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of teller and/or cash handling experience is preferred.
  • For Senior Universal Bankers, proficiency in all aspects of bank products and solutions, including IRAs and complex business accounts, is preferred by the role-specific qualification section.

Renasant names Catherine Mealor as CFO as Jim Mabry transitions to retirement

Renasant Corporation announced Catherine Mealor will join as executive vice president and chief financial officer on 5 October 2026, assuming the CFO role on 1 January 2027. Jim Mabry, CFO since August 2020, will step down at year-end and retire in early 2027. The board intends to nominate Mabry for director election at the 2027 annual meeting. Mealor joins from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where she covered small and mid-cap banks across the southeastern US. She brings over 20 years of financial services experience and has served on FASB's Investor Advisory Committee since September 2021. During Mabry's tenure, Renasant grew from $14 billion to $27 billion in assets and completed its largest merger.

IHL approves renaming of Southern Miss' football stadium. Published: Aug. 20, 2026 at 10:13 AM PDT | Updated: 5 hours ago HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) approved a deal on Thursday morning that will rename M.M. Roberts Stadium, affectionately known as 'The Rock.' The University of Southern Mississippi struck a $13.7 million deal with Renasant Bank in exchange for the namesake. For the next 10 years, 'The Rock' will become 'Renasant Stadium.' The Mississippi IHL said that the university and bank had come to a mutual agreement after evaluating the value of the naming rights. The agreement can be terminated at any time and is active starting Friday, Aug. 21.

Renasant Q2 earnings beat estimates at $0.94 per share, revenue misses at $273.94M

Renasant reported second-quarter earnings of $0.94 per share, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.91 per share and marking a 3.30% surprise. This compares to earnings of $0.69 per share a year ago. The company has beaten consensus EPS estimates three times over the last four quarters. However, quarterly revenues of $273.94 million missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.6%, though this represents an increase from year-ago revenues of $267.19 million. Renasant shares have risen about 23% since the beginning of the year, outperforming the S&P 500's 8.3% gain. Despite the positive earnings surprise, the estimate revisions trend for Renasant was unfavourable ahead of this release, translating into a Zacks Rank 4 (Sell) for the stock.
