Bridges Electrical Engineers

View

Bridges Electrical Engineers designs, builds and installs electrical and mechanical equipment for industrial sites and UK infrastructure. Its customers include water treatment, quarrying, nuclear and waste recycling operators that need machinery and controls to run their processes. The company supplies standalone panels and packaged plant, then connects equipment at customer sites and tests it before operation. It earns money through equipment supply and engineering contracts, working directly for asset owners or alongside other contractors on larger infrastructure schemes. Bridges was founded in 1973 and is headquartered in Midsomer Norton, in Bath and North East Somerset, England.

What believers are saying

  • Bridges rewards reactive electricians' retirement saving: its full-time Maidstone role lists a 5.5% employer pension contribution.
  • Bridges earns work beyond construction: a dedicated maintenance team handles planned servicing and plant breakdowns.
  • Bridges develops practical skills internally: its Engineering Academy supports company training in purpose-built workshops.

What critics are saying

  • Bridges' reactive electricians travel and work away: the Maidstone position requires a full UK driving licence.
  • Bridges carries project delivery responsibility: it acts as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, including civil works.
  • Bridges' hazardous-site teams face strict controls: continual assessment and supervision accompany work at gas production facilities.

What makes Bridges Electrical Engineers unique

  • Bridges builds large motor-control systems: its panels extend beyond 20 metres and contain more than 70 starter sections.
  • Bridges previews factory-built equipment digitally: its design process combines three-dimensional scans, virtual reality and 360-degree imagery.
  • Bridges combines steel fabrication with modular assembly: its stainless steel workshop shares one facility with pumping and treatment packages.
