Opal.dev provides access management solutions tailored for IT and infrastructure teams, focusing on enhancing cybersecurity. The platform operates on the principle of 'least privilege,' ensuring users receive only the necessary permissions to perform their tasks, which helps reduce security risks. It includes features like automated access requests, approval delegation, and monitoring tools, all designed to create a comprehensive audit trail for Just-In-Time (JIT) access, appealing to compliance officers. Unlike competitors, Opal offers self-hosting options, allowing organizations to maintain control over their access management in-house. The company's goal is to simplify and scale access requests while maintaining strong security protocols, ensuring that clients can efficiently manage access to sensitive systems and data.
