KEEN turns its two-cord UNEEK into a luxury leather mule.

KEEN turns its two-cord UNEEK into a luxury leather mule. The all-gender UNEEK Mule WK drops the back of the sneaker for an easy slip-on shape. Name: KEEN UNEEK Mule WK Colorway: Black SKU: 1033311 MSRP: $195 USD Release Date: October 2 Where to Buy: Keen KEEN is taking its most recognizable design in a more refined direction with the All Gender UNEEK Mule WK. The shoe converts the brand's iconic two-cord sneaker into an ultra-premium mule, handcrafted in ethically sourced leather and finished in black. The core idea is a change in form. The UNEEK's defining two-cord construction carries over, but the closed sneaker becomes a mule, with the back opened up for an easy slip-on fit. Keeping the cords while removing the heel means the silhouette stays instantly recognizable even as it moves into a more relaxed shape. The material shift is just as significant. Instead of the technical build associated with the original model, the mule is handcrafted from ethically sourced leather. That choice, together with the handwork, is what moves the UNEEK from a trail-adjacent oddity into the premium category KEEN is targeting here. The all-black finish keeps the focus on the leather and the cordwork rather than on color. The move also fits the UNEEK's history. The silhouette first arrived in 2014, and its open, cord-built design has always stood apart from the hiking boots and water sandals that make up most of KEEN's catalog. That outlier status helped it win fans beyond the outdoors crowd. A leather mule leans into that identity, presenting the UNEEK as a design object first and outdoor gear second.

DOE and KEEN deliver an all-black Jasper Zionic. September 15, 2026 Name: DOE x KEEN Jasper ZionicColorway: BlackSKU: TBCMSRP: ¥22,000 JPY (approx. $142 USD)Release Date: September 16Where to Buy: KEENShanghai-based lifestyle shop DOE has partnered with KEEN for a highly conceptual take on the Jasper Zionic sneaker. By focusing on fundamental geometry and basic colors, the design seeks to strip away unnecessary real-world representations to create a new, boundaryless visual order. True to this minimalist ethos, the collaborative sneaker arrives in a completely monochromatic, stealthy "Black" colorway. The sneaker is built on KEEN's Jasper Zionic platform, a hybrid model designed for both trail and city wear. DOE's concept of the "supreme black square" informs the design, expressed through geometric embossing and layered textures that emphasize minimalism and structure. The upper features a diamond-patterned finish with tonal overlays, while the sole unit integrates KEEN's Fast & Light trail chassis for responsive movement.Engineered for seamless transitions between urban environments and terrains, the silhouette fuses the classic, long-selling Jasper upper with KEEN's performance-driven Zionic sole unit. Built around a "FAST & LIGHT" concept, the hybrid design delivers advanced agility and grip, making it highly capable for quick, unpredictable movements on the trail.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast

Fashion's favorite climbing-inspired sneaker has an american-built update.

Fashion's favorite climbing-inspired sneaker has an american-built update. The KEEN Jasper KM Lite has arrived with an American build that's both responsibly made and lightweight by design. First introduced in 2008 as the brand's climbing-inspired outdoor sneaker, the Jasper now has a refreshed look that delivers sleek style without compromising on comfort or quality. Most noticeably, the uppers have been smoothed with discreet stitching while the heel counter is satisfyingly streamlined into the midsole. It's a subtle shift, but one that quietly ushers the Jasper from trail staple to a pair that's just as at home in the city as it is off-grid. For men, the Jasper KM comes in three versatile colorways: Canteen/Black; Khaki/Birch; Black/Steel Grey, while for women, colorways include Granite Green/Black; Cameo Rose/Black; Plaza Taupe/Bitch; Brindle/Birch. Furthermore, the women's model will be joined by a Mary Jane-inspired variant, the Jasper KM Lite MJ. The dynamic lineup provides options that expand how the silhouette can be worn, from day-to-day utility to more styled, expressive looks. As a follow-up to the KEEN Made Classics collection unveiled in April, KEEN Made Originals arrives this May, dialing in on one of the brand's most beloved silhouettes. With collaborative variants emerging from Engineered Garments, Hiking Patrol, 18 East and Gramicci in recent years, the Jasper has slowly but surely taken up a spot among gorpcore favourites, and it's only getting better. While KEEN has been producing pairs in the US via its Oregon factory since 2009, the footwear label recently made a conscious decision to move to a new facility in Kentucky, granting it more robust distribution capabilities and - more importantly - expanding its responsible production initiatives. It was the opening of this new Kentucky hub that planted the seed for KEEN Made, a new sneaker line offering consciously sourced materials and forward-thinking construction not only for greater durability, comfort, but also a lighter environmental impact. With thoughtful specs, the Jasper KM Lite is far more than meets the eye. Each model coming from the new series features Trampoleen cushioning underfoot, KEEN.FUSION technology binding the sole and upper without harmful chemicals, and materials recommended by the Better Cotton Initiative and gold-rated LWG-certified tanneries. Together, it's a build that signals a more considered approach to how the shoe is made and how it feels on foot. "Owning our own factories keeps us closer to what we love, consciously creating versatile footwear that lasts," KEEN's Senior VP of Product and Innovation, Scott Labbe, shared. "Here in our Kentucky factory, shoemaking is revived as an art form - by a community of local, talented workers dedicated to premium craftsmanship." As the centerpiece of the KEEN Made Originals collection, the Jasper KM Lite is set for release on May 1 at keenfootwear.com, KEEN Garages, and select retailers.
