  • At least 6 years of demonstrated experience in project management of systems design and systems integration with relevant technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Act as project manager and lead systems engineering projects that develop custom communications systems centered on tactical radio and networking solutions to meet customer requirements for critical military communications.
  • Manage and lead the design of systems using company products and vendor equipment combined with custom-designed mounting solutions. Designs may include HF, VHF, UHF, microwave, SATCOM, IP networks, and custom peripheral subsystems for voice and data applications integrated into vehicles, ships, aircraft, and C4ISR systems.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to complete projects successfully; this may include direct supervision of engineers in a matrix environment.

  • Work and communicate with Sales, Program Management, and Operations to complete assigned projects.
  • Lead proposal efforts, including gathering and generating detailed cost estimates for non-recurring engineering across engineering disciplines and recurring engineering costs from systems custom manufacturing.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time per year, typically on international trips of two weeks or less.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: engineering project management, especially military-related; military tactical radio applications and systems design, including HF, VHF, UHF, microwave, and SATCOM; IP networking; wireless voice and data systems; platform and vehicular or shipboard integration; or C4ISR systems design.
  • Experience reviewing systems project engineering designs and progress through initiation, requirements, design, ordering, build, test, and delivery, and interfacing with adjacent organizations to support execution of these phases.

L3Harris wins $876M Navy contract for next generation jammer prototypes

L3Harris Technologies has won an $876 million contract modification from the US Navy for its Next Generation Jammer Low Band (NGJ-LB) program. The company will build prototype hardware, assemble specialised manufacturing equipment, and support flight testing. The award is undefinitized, meaning work starts before final price and delivery terms are agreed. The government typically uses such awards when it needs a project done quickly. The programme will replace ageing equipment that disrupts low-frequency radar and communications used against US combat aircraft. Chris Aebli, president of communications and spectrum dominance at L3Harris, said the company is "moving fast to deliver a system that equips aviators to counter those threats from safer, extended distances." The deal is small next to L3Harris's nearly $22 billion in revenue last year.

HGT Law investigates L3Harris after CEO Kubasik exit sent shares down 4.61% to $278.38

HGT Law is investigating L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) for possible securities law violations and breaches of fiduciary duty by its officers and directors. On August 17, 2026, L3Harris said Christopher Kubasik had stepped down as chairman and chief executive officer, citing conduct that breached its Code of Conduct. The stock fell $13.44, or 4.61%, to close at $278.38. The Wall Street Journal reported on August 19, 2026 that multiple women had raised concerns about Kubasik years earlier, including a formal harassment complaint around 2023. In 2012, Lockheed Martin asked him to resign as president over a relationship with a subordinate. The firm is examining whether L3Harris made misleading statements or withheld material information, and whether its board failed in overseeing executive conduct and approving Kubasik's separation terms.

L3Harris stock drops 35% despite breakthrough $22K anti-drone system beating $50K Shaheds

L3Harris stock has fallen 16% over the past month following the firing of CEO Christopher Kubasik over conduct issues, despite the company's progress in drone defence technology. The defence contractor's VAMPIRE launcher system, firing BAE Systems' APKWS rockets costing $22,000 each, has successfully shot down Russian Shahed drones worth $50,000, reversing the cost dynamics of drone warfare. The stock now trades below 16 times forward free cash flow, having underperformed defence peers by over 20 percentage points. Sam Mehta stepped in as CEO following Kubasik's departure. L3Harris also supplies solid rocket motors for advanced interceptor missiles including the Patriot system. The company's shares are down 35% from their all-time high set earlier this year.

L3Harris lands $4.7B Patriot missile deal to boost US interceptor production to 2,000 units by 2030

L3Harris Technologies has secured a seven-year, $4.7 billion contract with Lockheed Martin to manufacture Patriot missile defence components. The Melbourne, Florida-based defence contractor will produce advanced two-pulse solid rocket motor propulsion systems for the PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptor, designed to neutralise aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic threats. This marks L3Harris's largest PAC-3 propulsion contract. The company operates a facility in Northampton, Massachusetts, through its KEO division, which produces naval technology including US periscope systems and radar systems for surface ships and submarines. To meet production demands, L3Harris broke ground on two new facilities in Camden, Arkansas, in June. The expansion supports the US Department of Defense's goal to increase annual interceptor production from approximately 600 units to 2,000 units by 2030.

L3Harris tech powers NASA's Roman Space Telescope to map universe 1,000 times faster than Hubble

L3Harris Technologies has provided key components for NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, which recently launched successfully. The company supplied the 2.4-metre Optical Telescope Assembly and radiation-hardened electronics for the observatory, which will operate approximately 1 million miles from Earth. The telescope is designed to survey the cosmos 1,000 times faster than the Hubble Space Telescope. Once operational, it will conduct three primary surveys, including scanning roughly 12% of the entire sky in under 18 months to measure the universe's expansion rate and study supernova explosions from up to 8 billion years ago. The project represents more than a decade of collaboration between L3Harris and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. L3Harris has previously contributed technology to missions including the James Webb Space Telescope and Mars rovers.
