Requirements
  • You have 8+ years of experience writing production code across the stack.
  • You enjoy and take ownership in designing, building, and shipping features end-to-end.
  • You strive to build collaborative engineering cultures through thoughtful code review, documentation, mentorship, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with clinical, operations, and product teams to design and build technology underlying alternate health plan and care experiences.
  • Build mobile apps, web applications, and application programming interfaces that make health benefits and care accessible and engaging for members.
  • Develop and refine agentic workflows using machine learning models to power automation and intelligence across the platform, including care management, navigation, and proactive interventions.
  • Integrate with third-party vendors and health technology innovations to expand platform functionality, data sources, and member services.
  • Work on a member-facing platform and clinical intelligence platform used by care teams to deliver efficient, quality care.
  • Own projects from ideation to release, influencing product and technical decisions.
  • Contribute to technical architecture and best practices across the team.
  • Help recruit highly capable engineers to the team from diverse backgrounds.

Included Health has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Firefly Health, a clinically-integrated health plan and advanced primary care company. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory review. Firefly Health delivered a 15% reduction in total cost of care across its Administrative Services Only book of business in 2025, whilst maintaining 90% member satisfaction. The company serves more than 20,000 individuals nationally through its model combining primary care, chronic condition management, mental healthcare, and specialty care. The acquisition will combine Included Health's AI-native platform with Firefly's health plan model, which includes a nationwide network of 2,300-plus in-person, in-home, and specialty partners. Together, the companies aim to provide employers with an integrated benefits experience that reduces costs whilst improving employee health outcomes.
