Green Power Energy featured by Solar Power World for leading the future of solar service. * By Regan Gibbons * July 23, 2026 * 2:23 pm At Green Power Energy, Green Power Energy has always believed that installing a solar system is only the beginning of the journey. That's why Green Power Energy is incredibly proud to share that its company has been featured by Solar Power World, one of North America's most respected solar industry publications, in an article exploring one of the fastest-growing challenges facing residential solar homeowners today: what happens when your original solar installer is no longer there to support you? The article, "Solar Contractors Service Arrays After Original Installers Shutter," highlights how experienced contractors across the country are stepping in to help homeowners maintain, repair, and restore solar systems after their original installation companies have closed, merged, or exited the market. Green Power Energy is honored that Green Power Energy was recognized as part of that conversation. A changing solar industry. Over the past decade, millions of homeowners have invested in rooftop solar, creating one of the largest residential renewable energy markets in the world. As the industry continues to mature - and with recent changes such as the removal of the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) accelerating market shifts - many homeowners are discovering that owning solar isn't just about installation. It's about having a trusted partner for the years that follow. Across the country, more homeowners are searching for help with systems installed by companies that are no longer operating or no longer provide ongoing support. It's a challenge Green Power Energy is seeing firsthand every week. Why Green Power Energy invested in its Outside Service Division. For more than 17 years, Green Power Energy has proudly served homeowners across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. In recent years, Green Power Energy has seen a growing number of calls from homeowners who weren't originally its customers but simply needed someone they could trust. Some are dealing with storm damage. Others have damage, monitoring issues, equipment failures, or declining system performance. Many simply don't know who to call. That's exactly why Green Power Energy has continued to invest in its Outside Service Division. Its experienced technicians provide: * Solar diagnostics and troubleshooting * System repairs * Damage repairs * Storm damage inspections * Panel replacements * Monitoring support * Preventative maintenance * Honest advice and technical guidance And perhaps most importantly... You don't have to be a Green Power Energy customer. If your original installer is no longer in business - or you're simply looking for an experienced team to inspect or repair your system - Green Power Energy is here to help. Because Green Power Energy believe every homeowner deserves access to reliable, professional solar support. More than an installation company. Being featured by Solar Power World is especially meaningful because it recognizes something Green Power Energy has believed for years: The future of residential solar isn't just about installing more systems. It's about supporting the millions of systems already powering homes across America. As solar ownership continues to grow, long-term service, maintenance, and customer support will become just as important as the installation itself. Green Power Energy is proud to be helping lead that next chapter. Another milestone Green Power Energy is proud of. Alongside this editorial feature, Green Power Energy was also recognized in Solar Power World's 2026 Top Solar Contractors rankings, climbing to #152 in the nation - an improvement of 48 places from #200 in 2025. While Green Power Energy is incredibly proud of this achievement, what makes this recognition even more meaningful is that it's accompanied by national recognition for how Green Power Energy is supporting homeowners long after installation day. For Green Power Energy, that's what success looks like. Thank you to its team. None of this would be possible without its incredible employees. From its installation crews and electricians to its Outside Service technicians, project managers, customer care team, and office staff, every member of Green Power Energy plays a role in delivering the level of service its customers deserve. British Marine Scotland was again one of the sponsors of the Clipper Business Connect Event, hosted at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) on 16 July, part of the programme of events celebrating the 2026 Clipper Stopover in Oban. Titled, Ocean Race = Human Race, An Environmentally Sustainable Blue Economy, the event offered an industry-focussed discussion on its collective response to the impacts of climate change. Following introductory presentations, a panel then discussed aspects of how its actions in and around the sea, affect the environmental sustainability of the ocean, and ways in which maritime communities can lead on best practice and influence decision makers. As a legacy from the event, there was support for the idea that a Scotland Healthy Ocean Charter could be developed - that collectively, commercial and leisure marine sectors could build and support a genuine, and creditable common set of practices that minimise their impacts on the ocean's habitats, species and water quality. This would recognise the responsibilities of the international maritime community, which shares guardianship of the seas, to promote sustainable business practices across the ocean resource. Frazer Coupland (West Highland Chamber of Commerce) chaired the event and panel members included: * Heather Thomas, Skipper, Team Scotland Yacht, Clipper Race * Robert Kidd, Chair of AITC * Patrick Flockhart, Vice Chair, British Marine Scotland * Professor Nick Owens, Director of SAMS * Dr Laura Tulip, Senior Environmental Analyst, MOWI British Marine Limited were delighted to sponsor the Business Connect event again in 2026 as British Marine and British Marine Scotland are committed to encouraging environmentally responsible behaviour by everyone involved in working on, under or near its oceans. British Marine Limited must ensure this vast but precious resource is preserved for future generations and that business and conservation goals can exist and indeed thrive together. Sarah Kennedy Chair at British Marine Scotland Following a successful first stopover in 2024, which saw Clipper Race Crews, local people and visitors embrace the town's 'Festival of Sea' celebrations, Oban was again announced as a Host Port on the 2025-26 edition route. The Host Port Partners, Argyll and Bute Council and Bid4Oban, planned an even bigger festival of culture for this year's event. Sponsors of the Clipper Connect Event included British Marine Scotland, Certas Energy, Green Power and West Highland Chamber of Commerce.
