Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in radio frequency and multilayer printed circuit board design, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in radio frequency and multilayer printed circuit board design.
  • Strong expertise in the design and development of radio frequency and multilayer printed circuit boards.
  • Established experience designing complex radio frequency and multilayer printed circuit boards, including electrical, mechanical, and thermal considerations such as via arrays, copper coin, and metal backing.
  • Proficiency and experience using modern computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing tools such as OrCAD, Altium Designer, AutoCAD, or DraftSight, with willingness to learn new software as required.
  • Ability to customize software used for printed circuit board design to improve performance and increase productivity.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple changing priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Business-related computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
  • Skills to monitor diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.
  • Ability and willingness to comply with corporate safety initiatives and the Company’s Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
  • Design printed circuit board layouts from engineering markups or schematic diagrams and simulation results provided by design engineers.
  • Create printed circuit board artwork by converting computer-aided design drawings into Gerber files for suppliers or in-house prototyping.
  • Design printed circuit board arrays and solder stencils from scratch and prepare Gerber artwork for production suppliers.
  • Create printed circuit board, printed circuit board array, and solder stencil item numbers and bills of materials, and release them to the product lifecycle management system.
  • Provide design input to Mechanical Engineers regarding mechanical enclosures, housings, connectorized models, and surface-mounted device outline drawings, and to Electrical Design Engineers regarding circuit simulation.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain schematic and printed circuit board component libraries based on documented design rules, component Specification Control Drawings, and supplier recommendations.
  • Maintain component and project libraries using the Engineering Data Management system.
  • Prepare draft drawings for Engineering Development projects.
  • Review and approve working Gerber files or check-plots supplied by printed circuit board and solder stencil suppliers.
  • Communicate with printed circuit board, low-temperature co-fired ceramic, and stencil manufacturers to resolve documentation issues and review and approve engineering queries.
  • Create special catalog printed circuit board layout drawings based on layouts used in evaluation boards for surface-mounted models.
  • Respond to assignments in the product lifecycle management system and update assignment status in a timely manner.
  • Support the Engineering team in ISO audits, management reviews, and internal and external audits.
  • Support the design and release of more than 25 radio frequency and digital printed circuit boards for various models.
  • Use computer-aided design software proficiently for printed circuit board design.
  • Develop proficiency with the AS/400 enterprise resource planning tool in daily work.
  • Apply company procedures and production processes, including printed circuit board design rules and company procedures.
  • Apply standard company assembly and manufacturing methods.

  • Working knowledge of a product lifecycle management system such as Arena.

Mini-Circuits launches wideband digital step attenuator from 0.1 to 24 GHz. Mini-Circuits has introduced the ZX76-24G-30-S+, a 50 ohm coaxial solid-state digital step attenuator designed for wideband RF applications spanning 0.1 to 24 GHz. Engineered for precision and flexibility, the attenuator offers programmable attenuation from 0 to 31.5 dB in 0.5 dB steps, providing fine control over signal levels across a wide frequency range. The ZX76-24G-30-S+ features a 6-bit parallel control interface that requires no external clock and supports dual (+3.3 V / -3.0 V) or single-supply operation (+3.3 V to +5.4 V). Built for durability in demanding environments, it delivers high input IP3 performance of +50 dBm, good return loss (typical 15 dB), and glitch-free attenuation transitions, making it well-suited for test instrumentation, communication infrastructure, and defense applications such as radar, EW, ECM, and SATCOM systems. The device's robust design also ensures immunity to latch-up and stable operation from 0°C to +50°C, while supporting input power levels up to +22 dBm. It operates with an insertion loss as low as 3 dB (typically) up to 13 GHz and 4.5 dB (typically) up to 24 GHz.
