  • Professional clinical license - MD, RN or LVN with experience in utilization review, appeals, or medical necessity documentation.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare in the United States – familiar with insurance coverage decisions, denials, and the appeals process.
  • Are passionate about health equity – committed to helping patients get the care they need, when the system says no.
  • Are a strong communicator – ability to distill clinical information into clear, persuasive arguments for coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Tackle complex, high-impact problems in clinical denials, appeals, and insurance coverage decisions.
  • Apply clinical expertise to review medical records and craft compelling appeals that help patients access the care they need.
  • Continuously learn about health insurance policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory frameworks affecting medical necessity and coverage.
  • Directly support healthcare advocates by preparing strong clinical appeals, documentation reviews, and guidance on denial cases.
  • Shape operations and product in a fast-moving early-stage environment- your clinical perspective drives smarter systems.
  • Gain deep expertise in US healthcare and its systemic challenges.
  • Champion diverse perspectives to build more inclusive, effective solutions.
