Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as computer science, computer engineering, or cyber security, from an accredited college or university is required; five years of additional system administration experience may substitute for the degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical Level I is required.
  • Experience with AWS is required.
  • Current understanding of best practices and application of system security measures is required.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux servers, including patching, troubleshooting, and security, is required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational problems independently is required.
  • Experience with renewing and replacing Public Key Infrastructure certificates is required.
  • Experience with Windows Server security tools, including Nessus, UAM, CYBORGBUNNY, and LATTEART, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze current system environments and develop plans for enhancements and improvements, including commercial ArcGIS Enterprise deployments.
  • Provide production support for mission-critical systems and applications, including ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and related services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing issues, and assessing operational impact.
  • Manage, evaluate, and install patches on Windows and Linux systems, including Esri software and dependent components.
  • Perform cloud deployment and management, including hosting and scaling ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
  • Manage and deploy CI/CD processes, including automation of infrastructure and application updates where applicable.
  • Assess performance, monitor infrastructure and geospatial platforms, and recommend performance enhancements.
  • Manage infrastructure for multiple disconnected networks, including geospatial systems operating in restricted environments.
  • Perform continuous testing at various stages of the development cycle to ensure system stability and reliability.
  • Write and maintain system, deployment, and operational documentation.
  • Support the implementation and maturation of a DevOps culture through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Administer, maintain, and support multiple servers in unclassified and classified environments, including ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure.
  • Implement operating system and platform enhancements to improve reliability, security, and performance.
  • Participate in a shared 24x7 on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
