Requirements
  • A four-year college degree is required.
  • At least three years of advanced administrative or office support experience is required; legal-environment experience is strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required, including advanced knowledge of settings, document editing, shortcuts, and Excel formulas.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • The role requires the ability to use Legal Department technology tools, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, complete assignments on time, maintain accuracy and attention to detail, communicate effectively in writing and orally, build productive working relationships, organize and manage time, identify issues and obstacles, develop solutions, and work independently and collaboratively.
  • The employee must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods and work at a computer for extended periods.
Responsibilities
  • Support management of the company’s global trademark, copyright, and patent portfolio, including clearance, filing, maintenance, and enforcement matters.
  • Perform day-to-day intellectual property administration tasks, including brand and market internet research for trademark, copyright, and patent matters.
  • Provide litigation support for intellectual property matters, including document collection and production and coordination with outside counsel and internal clients.
  • Assist with intellectual property-related contracts, including license agreements, letters of authorization, amendments, and other agreements, by reviewing, editing, generating redline comparisons, formatting documents, routing documents for review, coordinating signatures using Adobe Sign, drafting correspondence, tracking review and execution status, following up on documents, and providing business clients with applicable contract templates.
  • Handle contract-management tasks, including intake of contract requests and creating, maintaining, and updating information in the Legal Department’s matter-management system and other databases.
  • Monitor and assign marketing procurement contract requests submitted through Sirion.
  • Review and process Legal Samples Requests, including approvals, declines, and escalations.
  • Conduct initial reviews of non-disclosure agreements and coordinate with attorneys to finalize agreements.
  • Track information in databases and generate reports as needed.
  • Collect data and update relevant information in the matter-management system.
  • Generate reports supporting day-to-day intellectual property activity.
  • Develop, monitor, and report metrics tracking intellectual property matters, and analyze team performance against applicable metrics.
  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and updating standard contract templates and related playbooks.
  • Provide information about Adobe Sign and Legal Department and intellectual property policies and procedures, including advising business clients on processes, approvals, and signature authority.
  • Prepare reference materials, training guides, manuals, and presentations.
  • Prepare and process letters, team mail, and FedEx and similar correspondence.
  • Coordinate, route, track, and follow up on the execution, notarization, and legalization of affidavits, declarations, assignments, and powers of attorney, including facilitating signatures, review, and execution with senior executives and administrative support.
  • Work on Legal Department projects, initiatives, and special projects as directed.
  • Process new vendor setups, purchase orders, and invoices from vendors and outside counsel for the Intellectual Property Team.
  • Sort and distribute mail and prepare overnight courier packages.
  • Order supplies for the Intellectual Property Team and track the team’s expenses.
  • Schedule team meetings and conference calls.

  • Legal-environment administrative experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, workflow tools, and document-management software is strongly preferred.

Constellation Brands names Alex Alvarez beer supply chain chief

Constellation Brands has appointed Alex Alvarez as senior vice president and chief supply chain officer for its beer division, effective 14 September. He replaces John Kester, who is retiring in November after 12 years with the company. Alvarez brings over 30 years of experience in operations and supply chain management. Most recently, he spent three years as chief supply chain officer at Suntory Global Spirits, overseeing 18 distilleries globally. Before that, he worked at Brown-Forman for 16 years in various leadership roles. In his new role, Alvarez will oversee manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics and distribution for Constellation's beer brands, including Corona and Modelo.

Diageo struggles while Constellation gains hedge fund favour despite sector headwinds

Jim Cramer has shifted his stance on the alcoholic beverage sector, showing cautious optimism for Constellation Brands whilst remaining bearish on Diageo. Its beer division generated $2.28 billion in sales, up 2% year-over-year, with a 39% operating margin. Management cited industry weakness and immigration policy impacts on its Hispanic customer base. Although executives noted World Cup tailwinds, they maintained full-year guidance of $11.20 to $11.90 per share rather than raising it, disappointing investors. Nicholas Fink took over as chief executive in April.

Constellation Brands beer sales rise 2% to $2.28B as wine segment posts operating loss

Constellation Brands reported mixed first-quarter fiscal 2027 results, with beer sales rising 2% to $2.28 billion whilst wine and spirits struggled. Beer shipments increased 1.8%, though depletions fell 0.3%. Brands like Pacifico and Victoria offset declines in Modelo Especial and Corona Extra. Consolidated gross profit margin improved to 54.3% from 50.4% year-over-year. However, beer operating margin held steady at 39%, pressured by $13 million in aluminium tariffs and increased marketing spending. Wine and spirits segment sales dropped 47% to $149.2 million, primarily due to 2025 divestitures. Organic sales in the segment grew 8%, but it posted a $1.1 million operating loss. The company expects wine and spirits organic sales to remain flat for fiscal 2027.

Constellation Brands' beer sales dip despite World Cup boost to on-premise demand

Constellation Brands reported fiscal first-quarter net sales of $2.43 billion, down from $2.52 billion a year earlier but above analyst expectations of $2.39 billion. The US importer of Modelo and Corona saw profit rise to $653.8 million from $516.1 million year-over-year. The results come as the broader alcohol industry faces challenges, with a Gallup survey finding adult alcohol consumption hit an all-time low of 54% last year. However, rising aluminium prices pose margin pressures for beer manufacturers. The World Cup offers a bright spot: on-premise beer sales increased 5.5% nationally during the first 21 US-hosted matches, with sales in host markets climbing 15.4% year-over-year, according to Beer Institute data.
