Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller

- Possess solid knowledge of United States generally accepted accounting principles and comprehensive accounting and technical skills.
- Have an understanding of revenue recognition rules, including ASC 985-605 (SOP 97-2) and ASC 605-45 (EITF 99-19).
- Have an exceptional understanding of accounting processes and internal controls, including experience designing and using workflows.
- Have solid understanding and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems and other accounting systems.
- Manage the Company's primary accounting functions, including revenue and expense recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Supervise the general ledger and accounts payable teams to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Coordinate monthly and annual closing procedures and help the Company exceed best-practice closing standards.
- Review contracts with multiple elements and non-standard terms, ensuring revenue is recorded and recognized in accordance with United States generally accepted accounting principles.
- Work with the Operations Management team on accurate inventory cost accounting.
- Manage and support the Company's annual financial audit engagements.
- Provide critical checks and balances for system designs and changes that affect the flow of financial data throughout the Company.
- Develop and lead initiatives to streamline and automate companywide accounting processes and workflow procedures.
- Ensure company personnel receive proper training on internal controls, accounting processes, and systems.
- Work with direct reports to establish goals and objectives that enhance staff professional development.
- Provide accounting oversight and integration support on major projects such as acquisitions, joint ventures, and system integrations.
- Provide design input and partner with the Director of Information Technology to manage and oversee the integrated functions of the Company's financial systems and accounting processes.
- Understanding of revenue recognition rules, including ASC 985-605 (SOP 97-2) and ASC 605-45 (EITF 99-19), is a plus.

Cognizant breaks ground on Visakhapatnam campus, eyes 8,000 jobs. * by Shruti Mishra * December 13, 2025 * 2 hours ago Visakhapatnam see significant growth in technology and infrastructure development. It is because CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh prepare to launch several major IT projects on Friday. Cognizant campus for 8000 jobs in Visakhapatnam. The most notable project is the foundation stone for Cognizant's permanent campus at Kapuluppada IT Hills. The company granted 21.31 acres for this project. Cognizant plans to invest Rs 1,583 crore to build a top-notch AI and digital transformation center in three phases. It create 8,000 jobs. The first phase expected to finished by 2029, with the entire facility set to completed by 2033. Until then, the company will operate from a temporary 1,000-seat campus at the Mahati FinTech building in Rushikonda. Specialty about campus. The campus feature Grade-A office spaces, premium residences, integrated retail and hospitality facilities, smart mobility systems, renewable energy integration, and infrastructure that meets ESG standards. Satva Group completed 78 million sq. ft. of development in major cities, plans to build 5 million sq. ft. of IT office space in Visakhapatnam over the next five years. Along with these key projects, Minister Lokesh also start the ground-breaking ceremonies for 7 more IT companies in Madhurawada and Kapuluppada. Tech Tammina invest Rs 62 crore to create 500 jobs, while Nonrel Technologies invest Rs 50.60 crore to generate 567 jobs. ACN HealthCare RCM Services set up its unit with an investment of Rs 30 crore, creating 600 jobs and starting operations within a year.
