What believers are saying

  • The June 2026 careers page lists active AI Director and Gameplay Engineer openings.
  • A remote hiring footprint widens talent access without expensive headquarters growth.
  • Blackman's June 2022 leadership and AAA pedigree help recruiting and publisher credibility.

What critics are saying

  • EVE has no shipped game, so revenue depends on one unproven title.
  • A young AAA-veteran studio burns cash fast; missed milestones can force layoffs in 2026.
  • AI recruiting raises execution risk if product quality slips or development ethics trigger backlash.

What makes Escape Velocity Entertainment unique

  • Haden Blackman joined in June 2022, bringing LucasArts and Hangar 13 leadership.
  • The studio pitches games for all players, emphasizing accessibility and inclusive competition.
  • It is still hiring AI and gameplay talent across North America, Europe, and Canada.
