Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
Responsibilities
- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of Northside Hospital.
- LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- LPNs work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.
- LPNs practice in diverse clinical settings that include different healthcare professionals who work collaboratively as a team. This collaborative team works to “improve a patient’s function and to protect the health and safety of the patients”.
- LPNs are part of the Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing Excellence Track Program (L-NEXT) at Northside Hospital and have the opportunity for career advancement opportunities through expansion of knowledge, expertise through both academic/continuing education, and specialty certification.
- This position is housed in the Northside Hospital Forsyth Float Pool and offers the opportunity to care for a variety of patient populations in our Acute Care or Critical Care units.

Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience as an LPN.
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
