Requirements
  • A PhD, MD, or Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience in biomedical research, drug discovery, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience in venture creation or operational roles at early-stage venture-backed startups.
  • Technical expertise in antibody and/or oligonucleotide drug discovery and development.
  • Experience supporting therapeutic assets through discovery, preclinical, and/or clinical development in a scientific or operational role.
  • Ability to work across various United States and international time zones.
  • Ability to accommodate occasional travel as needed, approximately 20%.
Responsibilities
  • Create capital-efficient biotech companies with strong investible scientific narratives in a venture studio model.
  • Contribute as a co-founder by managing company details, optimizing operations, and enabling management team members and scientists to focus on their strengths and drive company value.
  • Step into CEO/COO roles for newly formed companies and remain accountable for all aspects of company building.
  • Syndicate with investors and incorporate new entities.
  • Develop and implement strategic and operating plans, including product roadmaps from concept to clinic.
  • Develop clinical and translational plans and target product profiles.
  • Build budgets and forecasts.
  • Establish key opinion leader relationships and scientific advisory boards.
  • Develop work plans with Alloy's research and development teams and manage scientific operations.
  • Negotiate with venture capital, pharmaceutical, and service-provider partners to establish equitable relationships.
  • Lead portfolio companies through equity financing and high-value transactions with pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners.
  • Translate therapeutic ideas into differentiated antibody-oligonucleotide conjugate assets across neurology, rare disease, and other indications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a senior or C-suite role.
  • Prior experience with antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates or ex-hepatic delivery.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage complex transactions.
  • Leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
