Requirements
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience, including required multifamily experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more major trades, such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
  • Working knowledge of appliances.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Universal EPA Certification.
  • Certified Pool Operator Certification where applicable.
  • Strong diagnostic ability across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, including identifying root causes and recommending preventative solutions.
  • Safe operation of hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency with work-order and property management systems, including mobile application literacy.
  • Strong documentation and system reporting proficiency.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to maintain a comprehensive personal tool kit.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and work indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform regular periods of sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and reaching, and to respond promptly to visual and auditory alarms.
  • Ability to use close, distance, color, and depth vision and adjust focus.
  • Ability to work with a personal computer for administrative tasks and mobile devices in the field.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Lead full turns and larger renovation or repair projects.
  • Perform advanced panel, breaker, motor, and fixture replacements within code.
  • Inspect mechanical systems and recommend preventative solutions.
  • Coordinate vendors for specialized work.
  • Manage supply ordering and cost control.
  • Lead emergency response and on-call service.
  • Mentor and train Technician I and II team members.
  • Enforce safety standards and best practices.
  • Complete all required compliance and technical training.
  • Perform additional duties consistent with the position.
Desired Qualifications
  • CAMT Certification.
