Responsibilities
  • Prepare materials and equipment for practical classes, demonstrations, assessments, and practical examinations.
  • Accept deliveries of materials and equipment, transport and store them as required, and replenish stocks and consumables as appropriate.
  • Maintain workshops, kitchens, and associated areas in a clean, tidy, and secure manner, and inform the relevant line manager when equipment appears to need repair or replacement.
  • Procure equipment.
  • Check and record equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Return all equipment and unused materials to designated areas, and report items that are mislaid, damaged, or in need of replacement.
  • Control equipment stock.
  • Process and sell class goods and complete associated clerical and archival work where applicable.
  • Assist with preparing a workshop or laboratory for a class or demonstration.
  • Ensure that stores, kitchens, and associated areas are kept clean, tidy, and in excellent order.
