- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CNC saw experience is required.
- Proven experience as a CNC machine operator, including knowledge of cabinet component fabrication processes, machinery, and tools, is required.
- Knowledge of material types, characteristics, and fabrication techniques, including cutting, shaping, and finishing, is required.
- Attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship when working with wood-based materials are required.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and maneuver heavy sheet goods are required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
- Set up machines, adjust settings, and load and unload materials to ensure proper operation and optimal performance.
- Monitor machine outputs, production rates, and material usage to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Use machinery to cut, shape, and profile wood-based materials according to technical drawings, templates, or design specifications.
- Ensure precise alignment, layout, and symmetry of cuts to maximize material yield and minimize waste.
- Inspect components for defects, imperfections, or inconsistencies in color, pattern, or finish while operating or unloading the machine.
- Perform dimensional checks, surface inspections, and quality tests to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Make adjustments to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and use safety guards and devices on machinery and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including housekeeping of the machine and surrounding areas, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Vocational training or certification in CNC machine operation is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents is preferred.
- Understanding of equipment operation manuals, technical specifications, and safety procedures is preferred.
