Requirements
  • Super, ridiculously proactive. Cannot emphasize this enough. Maybe we did. Who knows.
  • Meticulously organized.
  • Hungry. You want to take on more and more work and get everything done.
  • Steep slope - you can dive into things and learn stuff.
  • You want this for at least two years. We want you to be one of the best people in the world at this job.
  • Degree required and excellent written English. You do not need experience.
  • You need to live somewhere that enables you to travel to Cambridge once a week.
Responsibilities
  • Managing James's time - you’ll control his calendar.
  • Being the default person to correspond with other founders, job applicants, investors, and anything else that comes in.
  • Helping out with personal stuff - paying bills, getting the car MOT’ed, taxes. Keep me as focused on the business as possible.
  • Shadowing on lots of calls so you have a grip on what’s going on.
  • Occasional travel with James around Europe or the US (assume around 1 week every 1-2 months).
  • One day a week you need to come to Cambridge ad hoc to do stuff in person with him, so you need to live somewhere that makes this feasible.
  • Our cofounder Tim needs a bit of help with scheduling and occasional travel booking, but that's a couple of hours per week max.

PostHog provides a unified platform that combines various tools for product engineering and data integration, aimed at helping businesses streamline their processes. The platform allows users to focus more on developing their products rather than spending excessive time on data management. It operates on a usage-based pricing model, which means that as clients use the platform more, the cost per unit decreases, making it more affordable as businesses grow. PostHog also offers a free tier, ensuring that many users can access its services without any cost. The platform is adaptable to a wide range of use cases and is supported by extensive tutorials and guides to help users maximize its potential. Unlike many competitors, PostHog does not employ a sales team, instead providing recorded demos and personalized demo options to assist potential clients.
