Nurse Educator
About the job
- Must be an RN with a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in Kentucky.
- Must have more than five years of nursing experience.
- Must have adult learning experience.
- Must have exemplary computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds, frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds, and stand for significant periods.
- Must have reliable transportation for frequent travel between work sites.
- Must follow applicable safety management policies, procedures, and Joint Commission standards.
- Partner with Medical, Clinical, and Operational Leaders to manage defined training needs, identify gaps, anticipate future-state skills, and maintain best practices related to medical training.
- Build relationships with external partners to support education and career growth, including continuing education opportunities.
- Find, apply, track, and report on continuing education participation.
- Deliver in-person and virtual medical training and coaching to support all divisions.
- Provide input and support for non-medical clinical team tasks.
- Provide medical onboarding for new medical staff and work with leaders to ensure completion of job-specific checklists and skills validations for medical roles.
- Facilitate medical special programs as defined by the organization.
- Collaborate with the Learning and Organizational Development team to create and update medical training materials.
- Track medical training completions, including learning management system training sessions and competencies.
- Facilitate instructor-led medical training using simulations, team exercises, group discussions, and multimedia tools.
- Integrate training with diverse, real-world medical-specific situations to drive learning outcomes.
- Facilitate course offerings in multiple organizational locations.
- Two years of experience in a mental health environment is preferred.
