About the job
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move furniture as needed.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- The capability to stand and work for prolonged periods.
- Access to a computer for scheduling, timekeeping, and project management applications.
- Availability to work 3–4 days per week from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Previous experience in staff supervision and working with older adults, along with demonstrated compassion.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- The ability to accurately assess the value of belongings.
- Effective leadership and coaching abilities.
- Sort, organize, and pack household goods for moving or sale.
- Research items to determine fair market value.
- Safely pack and unpack belongings.
- Move supplies and boxes within client residences.
- Stage and prepare homes for sale.
- Take pictures of items for auction.
- Interact courteously with clients, their families, and colleagues.
- Lift boxes, décor, and occasional furniture as necessary.
- Manage client projects and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Adapt to varied daily tasks as each project differs.
