The VRS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Virtus Risk Solutions team that includes our Claim and Risk Control team members. This role will handle all administrative and other day-to-day tasks and responsibilities and have a chance to learn and develop from the best in the insurance space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Timely process all claims received and delivered to clients in a timely manner.
•Verify and reconcile claim remittance and claim closure.
•Follow up with carriers on claim documentation, updates, and payments.
•Maintain accurate agency management system client and policy data.
•Request loss runs from carriers.
•Create consolidated loss runs.
•Update claim review documents with assistance.
•Prepare and/or update claim loss summary.
•Process claim documentation and ensure payment of claims (Habitat).
•Appropriately and timely file all client and claim/policy documents.
•Basic understanding of core property and casualty coverages.
•Any other administrative need to meet client needs.
•Assist VRS Team with other tasks as needed, such as service plans, loss analysis reports, newsletters, whitepapers, etc.
•Respond to basic client claim questions.
•Assist with the completion of ad hoc projects as needed.
•Other duties as assigned by the team and leadership.
Education and Experience:
•0 to 2 years of previous related experience required.
•Broker/Carrier Level Property and Casualty insurance experience a plus.
•Position requires direct communication with clients; therefore, strong written and oral skills, with a commitment to impeccable client service are required; ability to adjust easily to working well with a variety of workstyles.
•Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with superior attention to detail.
•Great, positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
•Self-Starter with a willingness to grow, learn and develop.
•Must have familiarity and good working knowledge of various Microsoft software applications (Excel), Agency Management Systems, and the ability to learn new software systems.
•Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and work in a team environment that is constantly evolving.
