Requirements
  • A high school degree or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Operational Excellence, Lean, and Six Sigma fundamentals are required.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment are required.
  • At least 1 year of people-management experience is required.
  • Experience leading and executing Operational Excellence and organizational learning and development in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and Asset Care and Reliability concepts.
  • Knowledge and previous experience improving organizational capability through learning and development programs and/or High-Performance Work Systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach Operational Excellence teams to drive improvements across the balanced scorecard.
  • Lead Kaizen events to drive improvements and reduce losses.
  • Support deployment of all World Class Manufacturing pillars within the site.
  • Conduct diagnostics on the Operating System, Management Infrastructure, Mindsets, Behaviors and Capabilities, and Industry 4.0 using data analysis, floor observations, process monitoring, and employee interviews.
  • Coach Operational Excellence teams to develop tactical implementation plans for system improvements across identified workstreams.
  • Ensure tactical implementation plans are followed and stakeholder check-ins occur to support program sustainability and track progress.
  • Work with site leadership to plan and build appropriate Operational Excellence capability.
  • Execute capability-training sessions for site leadership, frontline leadership, and frontline employees.
  • Serve as the site's lead trainer for continuous-improvement tools.
  • Ensure improvements identified in Operational Excellence team charters are incorporated into the plant enabler program to capture savings.
  • Track Operational Excellence team performance to ensure improvements are sustained and long-term countermeasures are implemented.
  • Execute Zero Loss analysis to identify loss opportunities and build the enabler pipeline.
  • Coach and collaborate with stakeholders to influence organizational change by leading through others.
  • Manage and oversee programs related to Operational Excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Deploy the company's Operational Excellence strategy to drive supply-chain performance to world-class levels.
  • Provide direction for developing and implementing tactical objectives to drive plant improvements.
  • Serve as the internal organizational expert and advisor for the discipline.
  • Anticipate business challenges and regulatory issues and recommend process, product, or service improvements.
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad business impact and contribute to functional strategy.
  • Lead and contribute to company plant objectives and principles in a complex environment.
  • Direct the activities of others and guide teams implementing Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with departments to align and support Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and organizational goals.
  • Drive innovation in operational practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
  • Lead change initiatives and overcome resistance to organizational change.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Cross-functional manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, Visual Factory, and 5S.
  • Continuous-improvement certifications such as Lean or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience leading or executing Operational Excellence and organizational learning and development in a manufacturing environment.
