AMR Layout Design Engineer
About the job
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering, automation, robotics solutions development, or automated guided vehicle/autonomous mobile robot engineering or programming.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D drawing software.
- Experience with SICK safety components and scan field design.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, including presenting solutions and interfacing with customers.
- Work with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seek customer feedback, and drive improvements.
- Work on project deliverables and engineering tasks to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure compatibility and functionality of the engineered system.
- Document and present layout designs to customers and internal teams.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Experience commissioning automated guided vehicles or autonomous mobile robots.
- Working knowledge of automated guided vehicle and autonomous mobile robot safety standards.
