- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the electrical contracting or engineering space is required.
- Practical knowledge of construction and construction processes is required.
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management is required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement projects within the estimated budget, timeline, and scope.
- Monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, and project team members.
- Coordinate and supervise all electrical aspects of projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with teams and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver electrical projects.
- Evaluate project team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and training.
- Define roles and responsibilities for required project staff, including assistant project managers, field engineers, project engineers, and administrative assistants, and manage those staff.
- Ensure project staff maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, submittal/RFI/correspondence logs, monthly billing, and project closeout documents.
- Attend and run project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Address project-related issues, conflicts, or delays promptly and effectively, seeking solutions that maintain project progress.
- Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, submittals, RFIs, correspondence logs, monthly billing, and project closeout documents.
- Identify, estimate, prepare, and negotiate change orders.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures when possible.
- Liaise with field supervision.
