Requirements
  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent (bonus points for related post-secondary education and/or industry certifications like a CIP designation).
  • You have at least 6 months of sales and/or customer service experience (even better if it’s insurance-related). Experience in a call center, retail, or financial services is a strong asset.
  • This position requires a General Insurance Certificate of Authority Level 1. But don’t worry! If you don’t already have one, we’ll help you earn one and support you with in-house training.
  • This role requires two manager or supervisor references from recent past employment.
Responsibilities
  • Report to Manager, Insurance Agency.
  • Help clients identify their insurance needs and advise on products and coverages.
  • Effectively articulate the value of our products and explain pricing in a simple, empathetic, and professional manner.
  • Support existing clients with questions and updates to their policies.
  • Proactively follow up on leads and client inquiries to drive new business.
  • Build relationships with clients to stay informed of their ever-changing needs and retain their business.
  • Deliver a TYLF (treat you like family) experience in all interactions with clients and co-workers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior insurance experience is an asset.
  • CIP designation or related industry certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in a role that involved in-person or call center customer service is a strong asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent was already met, but continuing education is desirable.
