Adobe vs Arista Networks: cheaper Adobe (10x forward P/E) tops Arista (45x) as 2026 buy

Adobe and Arista Networks offer investors opposite bets on AI: software against networking hardware. A Motley Fool analyst favours Adobe for 2026. Adobe's trailing-12-month revenue reached nearly $26 billion, up about 12%, with net income of roughly $7 billion. Arista's revenue was about $10.5 billion, up 33%, with net income near $4 billion. Arista is essentially debt-free but depends on a few large customers and on Broadcom as a supplier. Adobe trades at 10.4x forward earnings, against 44.8x for Arista. The analyst cites Adobe's more than 1 billion monthly active users, up over 20% year over year, as the reason to buy.

Citi's Radke: AI splits software into winners like Microsoft and losers like Adobe

Citi's Tyler Radke says AI is splitting software into winners and losers. Radke, co-head of US software equity research, told Bloomberg Television that AI is lifting growth at Microsoft, Palantir, and Snowflake. He expects Microsoft's revenue growth to top 20%, up from 18% in the quarter ended June 30. Office costs under $100 a month and bundles security and Copilot, while rivals charge hundreds of dollars, leaving room to raise prices. Adobe and smaller application vendors face pressure as IT budgets shift to AI, he said. Salesforce agreed to buy Braze for $47.50 per share in cash. Radke questions whether Salesforce can speed up organic growth after half a dozen large deals. If financing stays costly, he expects scale to decide who survives.

Trellist launches AI transformation practice for Adobe Experience Cloud teams

Trellist, a marketing and technology services firm, has made its AI Transformation practice available to Adobe Experience Cloud teams. The practice helps teams using Adobe Experience Manager, Target, and Analytics adopt AI-first infrastructure: connected systems, fewer handoffs, and AI agents that carry work between steps. Trellist starts by mapping a campaign's handoffs, from brief to analysis, and finding where AI can shorten, reorder, or remove them. The aim is faster time to market. The firm cites more than a decade of Adobe experience, including 250 personalization activities delivered for one client in a year. Elsewhere, it reports a 90% cut in lead handling time for a B2B manufacturer and a 30% drop in customer service calls for a logistics operator. Engagements start with one high-friction process and expand from there.

Adobe shifts to narrower AI metric: AI-first products are just over 2% of $27.5B recurring revenue

Adobe now highlights a narrower AI measure: revenue from products sold as "AI-first." A year ago, it stressed how much subscription revenue was AI-influenced, a figure that exceeded $5 billion in fiscal Q3 2025. AI-first recurring revenue made up just over 2% of Adobe's $27.5 billion total recurring revenue in fiscal Q3 2026. It grew more than 150% from a year earlier, against 11.2% for total recurring revenue. Monthly users of Adobe's free creative products passed 100 million, up more than 70%. Contracted future revenue grew 8%. On October 12, Wells Fargo downgraded the stock, citing worsening organic growth, executive instability, and lost pricing power. Adobe trades at 12.9 times earnings, against 21.9 for the S&P 500.
