Proven experience building systems at scale, including load balancing, service discovery, dynamic routing, and circuit breakers.
Strong experience in Java or Go, with ability to work on frontend execution using React and TypeScript.
Comfort navigating technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Golang, Python, Next.js, React, TypeScript, AWS, Kafka, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes, and openness to learning new technologies.
Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, propose long-term technical solutions, and explain technical trade-offs clearly.
Responsibilities
Design and scale critical microservices, primarily using Java and Spring Boot, to support more than 36 million monthly users.
Own the full development lifecycle from design and implementation through deployment and maintenance.
Ensure services are robust, scalable, and observable in production, applying a build-it-run-it approach.
Integrate backend APIs with maintainable frontends built with TypeScript and React.
Drive improvements to development practices, testing standards, and CI/CD pipelines.
Maintain frontend quality using tools such as Vitest and Playwright.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and propose long-term technical solutions.
Contribute to code reviews, pair programming, and sharing engineering best practices.

What You’ll Own As a Backend-Heavy Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be a central driver for the services that power user privacy and media delivery at scale. You will own the full development lifecycle: from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance. Your impact will include:
