The Role:
The Vice President of Education Sales will lead Hazel Health’s District Sales team to achieve ambitious growth objectives while advancing its mission of expanding access to healthcare for all children. Reporting to the President, this role oversees district-to-district sales strategies, operations, and outcomes tied to CARR targets while ensuring coordination with state sales and partnership initiatives. This individual will recruit, develop, and coach a high-performing team of 5-10 account executives and sales leaders, building scalable, data-driven systems that enhance efficiency, empower the team, and support Hazel’s mission of expanding access to healthcare for all children.

What You’ll Do:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead the design and implementation of integrated district-to-district sales strategies that align territories, achieve CARR targets, and address the unique needs of diverse school districts. Work with Growth team leaders to ensure Hazel maximizes impact across State Sales and partnership opportunities. Actively guide the team in managing complex sales cycles, ensuring measurable results.
- Build, Lead & Enable the Sales Team: Recruit, hire, and mentor a team of 5-10 account executives and sales leaders. Provide coaching, tools, and resources to support team development and high performance, ensuring team members are equipped to deliver consistently strong results. Foster a collaborative and success-oriented environment that empowers every team member to succeed.
- Sales Infrastructure Development: Build and manage Hazel’s sales infrastructure, including CRM platforms and analytics tools. Take a hands-on approach to developing scalable systems that provide actionable insights, ensure reliable data, and deliver seamless reporting to support team performance and growth.
- Performance Analytics & Reporting: Establish and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to monitor key sales metrics, pipeline health, and team performance. Use insights from these tools to optimize strategies, allocate resources effectively, and accurately forecast performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Post-Sales teams to align sales strategies with organizational goals. Cycle insights from the field back to these teams to refine messaging, improve processes, and evolve product offerings, ensuring Hazel remains responsive to market needs.
- Incentives & Resource Optimization: In collaboration with the People team, develop and manage incentive structures that motivate high performance while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and budgets. Strategically allocate resources and refine territory coverage to maximize impact and achieve revenue targets.
What Excites Us:
- You’re a leader. You have 10+ years of experience in sales operations or sales leadership in high-growth environments, with at least 5+ years focused on public sector, education, or government sales. Experience in healthcare is also highly valued.

- You’re strategic and adaptable. You combine a sharp analytical mindset with the ability to tailor approaches to meet the unique needs of diverse markets, balancing long-term strategy with tactical execution. Operational excellence is your foundation, and continuous improvement is your mindset.
- You’re an excellent communicator & collaborator. You can build strong relationships with decision-makers at all levels, including C-suite stakeholders, and deliver compelling presentations and insights. You feel comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organizations independently and effectively.
