Frima Studio is a Canadian game developer that splits its work between co-developing games for major publishers and creating its own original game titles. It handles the full cross‑platform development cycle for PC, console, and mobile games, including licensed properties, brand adaptations, live operations, and data‑driven market analysis to guide creative development. The company differentiates itself through a dual business model (work-for-hire and original IP creation) and by using market data to steer its projects, as well as through expanding its capabilities with acquisitions (e.g., Volta, Humagade) and collaborations with big publishers like Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros. Its goal is to build and grow a portfolio of original IPs while providing development services to partners, a strategy that continued with the 2024 acquisition of its catalog by Epic Storyworlds for revival.
