Requirements
  • Must hold a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Business, or related fields; five years of management or supervisory work experience may substitute for education.
  • Must have at least two years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served and understand growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Must be able to identify age-specific patient needs, including those of infant, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative supervision of all site staff and clinical supervision of mental health staff as required by Washington Administrative Code.
  • Participate in management and staff meetings to coordinate with staff and the management team.
  • Assist with inter-agency referrals and support resource sharing and problem solving regarding clients.
  • Ensure compliance with county, state, and other contract requirements for client service delivery.
  • Administer and implement department policies and procedures covering administration, personnel, treatment services, and records.
  • Ensure staff comply with Sea Mar ethical standards and Department of Health requirements.
  • Conduct continuous quality-control reviews to ensure staff follow agency and funding-source documentation and service-reporting procedures.
  • Coordinate with oversight agencies to ensure quality of care.
  • Ensure staff training plans and in-service training hours remain current to comply with Washington Administrative Code requirements.
  • Propose and implement clinical and program policies and procedures addressing patient care, ethical standards, daily operations, administrative matters, funding-source requirements, and agency needs.
  • Help monitor the budget.
  • Meet with community agencies and organizations to explain Sea Mar services and promote appropriate use of agency resources.
  • Assist the Behavioral Health Regional Director with hiring for vacant site positions.
  • Monitor staff productivity weekly and monthly.
  • Conduct site Quality Improvement activities and attend county Quality Improvement meetings.
  • Schedule and perform quality-assurance reviews required by Washington Administrative Code.
  • Provide outpatient evaluations, assessments, and psychotherapy to individuals and families when appropriate and necessary.
  • Provide outreach services to individuals unable to access agency services when necessary and participate in screening and case-finding activities.
  • Consult and collaborate with other professionals and agencies on client evaluations, treatment plans, and follow-up.
  • Prepare concise, complete, and timely consumer records according to agency policy and Washington Administrative Code requirements.
  • Provide education and information in the community as needed.
  • Ensure clinical staff meet Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards and maintain documentation required by Washington Administrative Code.
  • Report regularly to the Behavioral Health Regional Director on site status.
Desired Qualifications
  • Mental Health Professional, Chemical Dependency Professional, and Minority Mental Health Specialist certifications are preferred.
