This transaction means that Sika has added a new local production base, while incorporating Duproof's mature waterproofing membrane product lines and contractor customer resources. The consideration of the transaction has not been disclosed to the public. The target focuses on asphalt-based waterproofing membranes and has stable local customer resources Duproof mainly deals in asphalt-based waterproofing membranes, and its products are widely used in large-scale infrastructure, commercial buildings and residential projects in the UAE. It has a solid customer base among local engineering contractors and professional waterproofing construction enterprises. After the acquisition is completed, Sika plans to include Duproof's products in the material supply list for large-scale projects, and will sell them through Sika's existing distribution network in the UAE to explore cross-selling opportunities. Improve the manufacturing footprint in the Middle East and connect the regional supply chain system This acquisition fills Sika's production node in the UAE. Duproof's Dubai factory will be linked with Sika's existing production bases in Saudi Arabia and Egypt to build an integrated regional supply network. Christoph Ganz, Head of Sika's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, stated that the added production capacity and customer resources will help the company expand the scale of its local waterproofing materials business and increase its supply share in engineering projects. Transaction details have not been disclosed yet, and business integration will be promoted in the follow-up The announcement confirms that the delivery of this acquisition has been completed. Sika has not yet disclosed operational data such as Duproof's revenue, staff size and factory production capacity. Sika shares decline as organic growth slows on china weakness.

Sika shares decline as organic growth slows on china weakness. Published on 10/23/2026 at 04:45 am EDT By Michael Hennessey Sika shares fell after the Swiss chemicals and construction materials company reported slower quarterly organic growth as weakness in the Chinese construction industry weighed on sales. Sika shares opened more than 5% lower before paring some losses. The company on Friday reported sales growth of 4.8% in local currencies in the nine months to the end of September, to 8.71 billion Swiss francs ($10.62 billion). Organic growth in the nine-month period was 3.5%, with a positive acquisition effect of 1.3%. However, organic growth slowed to 4.6% in the third quarter, compared to 5.7% in the previous quarter. The third-quarter results were "less punchy" than second-quarter figures, Jefferies's Priyal Woolf noted, but did still show small beats to consensus. Sika said its material margin expanded by 40 basis points in the nine-month period to 55.4%, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 1.9% to 1.68 billion Swiss francs. However, nine-month sales in the Asia Pacific region fell 2.3% in local currencies, with the third quarter down 2.7%. The Chinese construction industry saw continued weakness in residential building and dragged on growth in the region. Despite the slowdown in organic growth, Sika reiterated its 2026 guidance. It expects local currency growth between 3% and 6% and an Ebitda margin between 19.0% and 19.5%.
