Responsibilities
  • Implement quality concepts throughout operational processes to make continuous improvements.
  • Supervise warehouse and vault operations and delivery service.
  • Ensure proper staffing to meet customer demands and utilize employees' strengths to provide effective customer service.
  • Supervise operational personnel.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to achieve optimal performance.
  • Interview and screen job candidates, complete the hiring process, train, evaluate, supervise, and reward personnel.
  • Train personnel on security and fire safety procedures and enforce attendance and other personnel policies.
  • Ensure proper staffing during vacation, holiday, and absentee occurrences.
  • Communicate through meetings and written communications so all operational shifts remain informed.
  • Participate in all facets of the company's quality program, including development and training.
  • Monitor, track, and set goals for critical operational areas, including on-time deliveries, driver productivity, warehouse and vault productivity, paperwork accuracy, and driver response time.
  • Communicate and chart measurable performance goals and results and work toward continuous improvement.
  • Monitor driver efficiency and fuel usage and observe stops and idle times through the vehicle GPS system.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance, vehicle cleanliness, preventive maintenance scheduling, required-expense tracking, and expense control.
  • Manage warehouse and vault appearance, cleanliness, orderliness, security, key-fob access, alarm codes, and door-lock changes.
  • Control repairs and place replacement orders.
  • Manage fuel-card use and check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Maintain scanners and related equipment and control the use of available rack space while evaluating the need for additional rack space.
  • Manage daily warehouse and vault operations to ensure storage accuracy and timely deliveries.
  • Audit daily paperwork and oversee and reconcile daily warehouse and vault inventories for critical accounts.
  • Identify, schedule, supervise, and conduct bay audits as prescribed by management.
  • Identify, schedule, and supervise bay consolidations to achieve management goals.
  • Verify and monitor the warehouse map and audit it for accuracy.
  • Provide courteous and attentive service to customers in person and over the phone.
  • Handle and coordinate special requests and resolve customer problems, including disaster-recovery drills and large customer problems.
  • Update and distribute delivery schedules.
  • Manage compliance requirements and tasks related to all operational functions of the facility.
Desired Qualifications
  • Profit-and-loss experience is preferred.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience is desired.
