Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering or related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance (DOE Q) or suitable level of clearance as applicable
Responsibilities
  • Analyzes and advises on energy policies, programs, and regulatory impacts to support strategic objectives
  • Align with Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Functional Area initiatives focusing on assessing and formulating energy policies, analyzing regulatory impacts, and providing strategic policy recommendations
  • Provide Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, and Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services for the Department of Energy Office of Policy
  • Support mission objectives related to renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on energy markets, economic impacts, and regulatory strategies
  • Support DOE initiatives with analysis, collaboration, and strategic implementation
  • Contribute to documentation and dissemination of energy solutions
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with DOE objectives
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration and high-level DOE strategy discussions
  • Possibly engage as a full-time role analyzing and supporting energy policy development and implementation
