Requirements
- Time-served welder qualification at 4G minimum.
- SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Strong experience with flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
- Ability to weld in all positions, including butt and fillet welds.
- Experience working with ceramic backing tiles.
- Ability to complete the ISO 9606-1 welder qualification test using process 136 / FCAW.
- Ability to complete testing in PF / vertical up, including root, fill, and cap welds.
- Ability to complete PA / PE testing, including flat-root basic cored wire and overhead fill and cap welds.
- Ability to complete a supplementary PB / flat fillet weld test.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding work on major maritime and industrial projects in Methil, Fife.
- Complete in-house weld testing if personal welder codings are not currently held.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with submerged arc welding (SAW).
- Experience with metal-cored arc welding (MCAW).
- Experience operating mechanised welding systems.
